The mosque is a tremendous site to behold and witness. Then, you'll walk across the city to experience the Calahorra Tower, a remarkable interactive museum about historic Spain. As you tour these sites, you'll also see the old Roman bridge and walk through the Jewish quarter.   You’ll be transported to the archeological site of Madinat-az-Zahra, a city built around a palace by Caliph Abdulrahman III, now half-buried and partly excavated. You’ll lunch there and also visit exhibits and the state-of-the-art Madinat-az-Zahra museum. You’ll reflect on the lessons that Abdulrahman I and Abdulrahman III have taught us.

Next day, you’ll be transported up the hills of Granada to the most visited tourist site in all of Spain, the magnificent Alhambra. You’ll journey through the palace and gardens there, witnessing some of the most remarkable Spanish contributions to European civilization, and you’ll reflect on what led them to success.  You'll journey outside of Granada and along the route of the Nasrids into the Alpujarra Mountains, stopping at a place called Lanjaron. You’ll visit a Muslim escape route along an old bridge into the Alpujarras and a fort where some of the remaining Moors in the Alpujarras in Spain took a final stand. In the evening, you’ll have a fantastic dinner at a local halal restaurant, serving world-renowned food.
